  Step 1 - Clean the wood

  The first step in the wood restoration process is to thoroughly remove all of the surface contamination from the wood. Most companies pressure treat the wood in an attempt to "Blast" the contaminants out of the wood. This is impossible as Fungus, Algae, and Mildew can grow deep into the wood, and in their early stages of growth, be seen only under a microscope. After we have cleaned the wood, it will be free of algae, mildew, fungus, moss, weathered coloration, and dirt. A minimum of three drying days are required before moving on to the next step.

  Step 2 - Prepare the Area for Stain or Sealant

  After three days, we blow off any debris that may have blown onto the deck. We cover all shrubbery, grass, and concrete below the deck to prevent drips and spills. Now the deck is ready for its first coat.

  Step 3 - Cover Deck with a Sikkens Product

  Finally, we apply the first and second coats of the Sikkens Cetol DEK, or single coat of the Sikkens Wood Preservative.

  Step 4- Enjoy the Finished Product

  After 3 days of dry time you can replace the deck furniture and walk on the surface as much as you like. We guarantee 100% satisfaction of the finished product.
